At DreamDoods, every litter is raised inside a real family home by a dedicated member of our Puppy Care Team — a model we thoughtfully designed to prioritize early-life experience, emotional wellbeing, and the human–canine bond from birth.
DreamDoods is proud to operate one of Canada’s first intentionally structured, home-raised breeding models built around collaboration, shared responsibility, and holistic puppy development.
Why We Built a Home-Raised Model
Traditional kennel-style breeding environments were never aligned with our vision. From the beginning, we knew that if we were going to raise puppies differently, their earliest experiences needed to reflect real life, not isolation.
We designed a collaborative, home-based model where each litter is raised inside a family environment. This ensures daily exposure to household rhythms, children, routine movement, sound, handling, and calm social interaction, all within the security of a nurturing home.
This division-of-care structure allows for greater attention, deeper bonding, and intentional developmental guidance during the most formative weeks of a puppy’s life.
Today, this model remains uniquely structured within Canada and reflects our commitment to raising puppies with intention, collaboration, and care, rather than at scale.

The Role of the Puppy Care Team
The Puppy Care Team plays an essential role in bringing each DreamDoods litter into the world with intention and care. These families open their homes and daily lives to our puppies during their earliest and most influential weeks of development.
Each Puppy Care Team member follows a carefully designed puppy curriculum guided by DreamDoods. This includes daily handling, gentle exposure to new experiences, early routine building, and consistent human interaction, all within the rhythm of everyday home life.
The puppies are born, raised in the same home and remain with the same family until they go home. This continuity supports emotional security, confidence, and a strong foundation for future bonding.
The Puppy Care Team is an extension of DreamDoods itself. These caregivers are not separate from the program, but an integral part of how DreamDoods operates, ensuring that each puppy is raised with consistency, intention, and care from day one.
This shared responsibility allows each puppy to experience continuity, stability, and meaningful human connection throughout their earliest stages of development.
