What Is a Guardian Home?
Guardian Homes are loving families who raise one of our parent dogs from puppyhood through retirement. Your dog lives with you full-time as a cherished family pet. ​
When it’s time for their role in the program, we responsibly coordinate. Afterward, your dog returns home to you and continue life as your companion. Our Guardian model ensures that every parent dog lives a full, enriched life inside real homes, surrounded by daily connection, routine, and love.
You’ll raise a thoughtfully selected dog with qualities we aim to carry forward, while helping us provide exceptional family companions and service dogs. It is a meaningful and rewarding experience for both your family and your dog.

Experience with dogs is helpful, but what matters most is consistency, commitment, and a genuine love for raising a well-balanced companion.
Alexis is an intelligent, responsive, friendly Poodle who has clearly benefited from training. As a young adult, she is at a wonderful stage where her personality is well developed while still being eager to learn and grow. She knows a variety of commands, she is obedient, enjoys learning, and loves being involved with her people.

In the home, Alexis is calm, easy to live with, and crate trained. She settles comfortably when left alone and is naturally observant. She has a moderate to high energy level especially when engaged in play. She would thrive with parents or a family that can provide her a balance of physical exercise, mental enrichment, and continuous training / learning. Alexis is highly social with other dogs and loves playful chase games, though her enthusiasm can sometimes be a bit much for more sensitive companions. She responds very well to redirection and guidance.
A true Poodle at heart, Alexis loves being groomed, pampered, and handled. She enjoys baths and often relaxes so completely during brushing sessions that she falls asleep.
Overall, Alexis would thrive with a family who enjoys an intelligent, interactive companion and can provide the structure, activity, and engagement she enjoys. In return, she offers a wonderful combination of trainability, companionship, and personality.
